Appointments

The surgery offers a variety of appointments including a late night clinic on a Monday night (contact the surgery for further details). We operate the following categories of consultation:

  • Routine Appointments - This can be a face-to-face or telephone appointment, the choice is yours. These can be booked up to 4 weeks in advance and are for problems that can wait until the next available routine appointment with the GP.
  • Urgent Appointments - These can be booked up to 2 days in advance and are for conditions that, in your opinion, cannot wait until the next routine appointment. This can be a face-to-face or telephone appointment, the choice is yours. The appointment offered will not necessarily be with the doctor of your choice.

  • Emergency (same day) Appointments - for conditions that need to be seen by a doctor the same day. A duty doctor will call you to discuss your symptoms and arrange an appointment if necessary. These appointments can only be booked by the duty doctor. These appointments will not necessarily be with your doctor of choice. Our phone lines switch on at 8am, please phone as early in the morning as possible.

Chaperones and Interpreters

If you require an intimate physical examination and would like a chaperone, please state this at the time of booking your appointment. We also have access to an interpreter service; again please state at the time of booking if required.

Cancellations

If you cannot attend an appointment for any reason please inform us as soon as possible in order for us to give the slot to someone else. (Our cancellation line is open 24/7 so this allows you to leave a message to cancel an appointment at any time).
