Coronavirus - Visit the NHS inform website or call 0800 028 2816 for general information and advice. If you have symptoms STAY HOME and call NHS 24 on 111.

The Monday evening clinics at the surgery are currently SUSPENDED, we will close at the normal time of 6pm.

Prescriptions - We are NOT issuing early or extra prescriptions. To reduce the number of patients attending the surgery, a number of pharmacies offer a collection service and we would be happy to give your prescriptions to their driver.

The surgery will be CLOSED every Tuesday between 12.30 - 13.30 for the forseeable future for staff training. For urgent matters, there will still be a telephone service.

LGBT Health and Wellbeing COVID 19 Support

Online booking of GP appointments via. Patient Access is currently SUSPENDED due to coronavirus.

We now require 48 HOURS to process ALL PRESCRIPTION REQUESTS. Prescriptions will be available for collection at the surgery after 48 hours from the request. This change is due to increased pressure on resources, thank you for your co-operation and understanding.

Patients on long-term medcation and approved for repeat prescriptions can re-order in a number of ways:

  • Online - you can order your repeat medication using Patient Access.
  • By telephone - call any time on 0141 339 3211 and press option 1, leave a message on the prescription answering service. Please speak clearly giving your name, date of birth,  contact no. items required and, if applicable, the name of the chemist you wish to collect.
  • By hand - drop your tear-off slip attached to your previous prescription into the surgery post box having clearly marked the items required.
  • By post - send it to us with a stamped addressed envelope and we will post it back to you.

Alternatively you can arrange for your regular chemist to order and collect your prescription for you.

All prescriptions can be collected after 48 hours from request. Please ensure that you only order within 10 days of when your medication is due and remember to take weekends and bank holidays into account.

Important

  • Telephoning prescription requests through to a chemist should only be in emergency cases.
  • If the chemist does not attend the practice to collect prescriptions you will be liable for the cost of postage.

Medication Reviews

Patients on repeat medication will be asked to see a doctor, nurse practitioner or practice nurse at least once a year to review these regular medications and notification should appear on your repeat slip. Please ensure that you book an appropriate appointment to avoid unnecessary delays to further prescriptions.
